Senior film

This is my senior film that I've been working on for a little over a year now. I'm really sick of looking at it. Maybe in a month I can come back to it and give some of those backgrounds the love they deserve.

Fetch comic

I decided to make Fetch a short comic to work out some shot problems I was having in the animation. I used them for coloring assignments. The first 4 pages were colored in Photoshop using the CMYK channels method, which I found I didn't care for because I felt too limited on the tonal range I could achieve. Pages 5-8 were colored using layers in RGB.

Environment design is something I wish I had more schooling in. Scad tends to gloss over it in favor of character work. The color sketches are backgrounds from my short film "The Forest." They're just sketches right now, I hope to polish them a little more for the final version of the film this Spring.

I love life drawing. I will miss the free sessions after I graduate.

More Character stuff

Some more character stuff. I tend to be a little more complex with my designs so I tried to simplify by designing a dog and an octopus. Of course the octopus automatically became complex because it has 8 legs...Still fun though.

Character stuff

Some character work I've done for a few classes. A few of my professors enjoy Starwars and often have us design things in that universe, hence Jabba the Hut in the Elizabethan collar.

Personally I enjoy modifying design elements from the 18th and early 19th century. Also the freedom of tribal fashion creates some really lovely textures and color pallets.
